Tuesday April 7th

Happy Tuesday everyone :-)
if i'm being honest, this self-isolation thing SUCKS. but i want to share with you guys some tips and tricks i'm doing to stay busy and make the most of it. some hobbies include doing puzzles, blogging, reading books, online shopping, painting, and baking. i find as though keeping your mind and body busy helps time pass quicker and makes life easier. not socializing and going out into the world really takes a toll on people with mental disorders like depression and anxiety, including myself. for about five years now, i have struggled with anxiety due to a sexual assault situation. i take medication daily, have gone to therapy, and now know how to cope and deal with it, but that does not mean i got rid of it. some days are worse than others but the best thing to do is take it one day at a time.

at the beginning of this week, i started a new project of painting my bedroom door. it was a fun, time-consuming activity that has kept my mind off of everything going on in the world at the moment. it is so so so important to keep your mind occupied to prevent it from wandering if you struggle with mental health like i do. just like every other bad day and horrible thing in the world has passed, this pandemic will pass too. everyone needs to just be patient, understanding, thankful that they are alive and well, and wait it out.

i would like everyone who reads this, whether it is one or one hundred people, to know that i am always here to talk about anything. i know how easy it is to isolate yourself mentally and struggle in silence because you don't want to bother those around you. i promise, you are not bothering or annoying anyone and it is better to talk about your feelings rather than bottle them up or push them down. anytime anyone wants to talk, play iMessage games, anything at all, i am just a text message/phone call away. thank you everyone for reading our blog and staying tuned so far!! better days are coming!

regan :-)
