"a beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset"
hey friends!! this week has been crazy busy for me for no reason whatsoever. I honestly forgot to post the weekly update on Sunday and have had so much just on my mind that I just blew it off...so sorry :( but for this week's post I am just going to babble on about what I have had on my mind and basically what I've been doing this past week or so.
Yesterday, my family and I went on a little mini "road trip" to UC Santa Barbara and let me tell you I fell IN LOVE. The campus was incredibly beautiful and we could literally walk down to the beach from the school. If they offered a nursing program I would probably have not left and moved in right then and there. My younger sister, Jordan, is thinking about attending UCSB for Marine Biology and I really hope she does because it is amazing, it's right on the beach, the area is stunning, and it is overall a great school. I'm actually extremely jealous that she will get the chance or opportunity to even go there but hey that just gives me an excuse to go down there to visit ;)
This week I have basically just been dealing with financial issues. I had to file for unemployment which was not fun, I had to pay to renew my car registration this morning which sucked, and just figure out what the next step for me is going to be when it comes to work/my job. On the upside, my parents got a new piece of workout equipment and I am so stoked to start using it and get back into shape. In high school, I played soccer and have also been considering getting back into that and going out to play every now and then. Exercise is a great way for me personally to release some steam and ease my anxiety and I highly encourage others to do it as well. You don't have to go out and run 3 miles and do burpees but just go on a walk or bike ride and let go of everything for a little while. Being stuck inside our houses with our entire families can be stressful and frustrating at times and it is key to give yourself some alone time to get away from all the things going on in the world right now.
I hope everyone is getting through quarantine the best they can and keeping themselves occupied with fun activities. Go online shopping, paint a picture, go for a walk, do something!! Distract yourself from the media and news for a little while and ground yourself. It'll help keep you sane! Stay tuned for Cami's post on Friday :-)
